Property owners have rights, but so do rental tenants! Learn from housing law experts about the different laws that protect you and your belongings when renting a unit. This session will specifically speak to the mix-ups that tenants have about their rights around conflict, fraud, foreclosure and even eviction. -- Parking: Metered street parking available on W. 35th Street and S. State Street. Public Transit: #29 Bus and #31 Bus stops at the IIT Tower. #35 Bus stops a block away at the Green Line. CTA Green Line (35th-Bronzeville IIT stop) is a block away. CTA Red Line (Sox-35th stop) is two blocks away. Metra Rock Island District Line (35th Street stop) is a block away. There is no charge to register, but please consider our cost and work involved with the event and do not register unless you definitely plan to attend. Please Note: If you register and later decide not to attend, please cancel your registration in the system. Tickets are only valid until the posted workshop start time. After that time, all attendees will be treated as walk-ins and will be seated as space allows.
